PRAYER CONCERNS and Family News

Our love and sympathy is extended to Ernie & Vickie Kirby and their families on the passing of Ernie's uncle, Stephen Kramar of Maine last Thursday.

Joe & Rosemary Zerucha have requested our prayers on behalf of their nephew, Adam West. Adam has a tumor on his pituitary (base of the brain) and he will be undergoing surgery soon to remove it. Please keep Adam and the doctors in your prayers as he faces this surgery. They hope this will relieve his constant headaches. Thanks for your prayers!

Carr Conway's mother is doing well following surgery for cancer of the tongue. The surgeon also removed some lymph nodes for evaluation. Please continue to keep her in your prayers during this time.

Mary Harlow's daughter, Angela Johnson, is starting to feel much better and has gone back to school.  However, she does still have the cancer to deal with.  Mary appreciates all the prayers on her behalf.

Bill & Ollie Friend request our prayers on behalf of Bill's dad, Willis, who recently suffered a stroke. Also for Bill's sister, Jan, who is in the hospital with MS.

Reba Sain had a brief stay in the hospital last Sunday night - she was released on Monday. The doctors have made an adjustment in her medication.

Heidi Thompson has requested our prayers on her behalf. She has been experiencing shortness of breath and dizziness. She saw the doctor and they have scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist for April 5th due to determining that she has a congenital atrial septal defect in her heart (a hole in her heart). She has requested specific prayers for the doctors appointment coming up and that she will not have to have surgery.

Hunter Hoagland did not have to have the heart procedure today that was originally planned.  The doctor's determined that his condition is safe and he will have a completely normal life and that this condition will create no problems for him as he grows up.  Hunter will probably remain in Children's Hospital tonight, please call before visiting.  The Hoagland's appreciate all the prayers on his behalf.

FROM TRAUMA TO HEALING will be presented by Linda Suhr who lost her 12 year old daughter to suicide four years ago and whose husband died a year ago. Linda was with us two years ago in our grief support group.  Her husband was blind, an amputee and wheelchair confined.  She will be the guest in the Senior #2 class Sunday morning.  All who need such "therapeutic lift" will want to come to the Fireside room to hear Linda's experience this Sunday morning during Bible study period at 9:45 AM.

THANK YOU!
We sincerely wish to thank everyone for their prayers, cards, calls and visits during Forrest's recent hospital stay and his recover at home. Forrest & Dorothy Moore

I just wanted to drop a quick note to thank all of you for your help and support while I've been sick.  I was released from the rehab hospital on the 7th of this month.  The hospital staff was very surprised by this.  When the Neurologists did an evaluation on me while I was still in the ICU, they estimated it would be at least 30 days from the date I was released from the regular hospital before I would learn how to stand or even speak again.  Within 10 days of being at the rehab center the decision was made to send me home.  (They kept me an extra 3 days as a precautionary measure to monitor the levels of medication in my blood).  The Dr.'s attribute what they are calling an "amazing" and "shocking" recovery to my fitness and health before all this started.  I however, attribute it to the multitude of prayers that were offered on my behalf and I want to thank all of you.  Moreover, I want to thank all of you for the support that was poured out to Amy and the kids during all of this.  We are by no means "out of the woods" yet, with outpatient therapy and Neurology appointments to come, but it appears as though the darkest times are behind us.  Thanks again for everything. -Justin McDonald
